"B" by Sarah Kay CLOSED

"If I should have a daughter,
instead of Mom, she's gonna call me Point B.
So that way she knows that whatever happens,
at least she can always find her way to me."
- Sarah Kay, "B"

I'm always looking for a new book to read, but I never seem to have the time to finish one. Moms, you know what I mean! When I heard about the short poetry book, "B" by Sarah Kay, I knew I wanted to check it out. It definitely is a very touching poem that I can't wait to share with my girls one day!

At less than 50 pages (perfect for even you new mommas!), “B” is a thank you note, love letter, wish, promise, confession and a secret all at once. The perfect gift from mother to daughter or daughter to mother, it carries a message of love that grows in meaning each time it is read. Originally performed at TEDtalk 2011, "B" has made quite a splash since it's November release, and is now one of 12 books in Seth Godin's The Domino Project experiment.

Sarah Kay has been a performing poet since she was 14-years-old. She is founder and co-director of Project V.O.I.C.E. (Vocal Outreach Into Creative Expression), which encourages people to use Spoken Word poetry as a tool for personal and world understanding, and as a medium for vital expression, teaching poetry and self-expression at schools across the United States. Beginning her foray into poetry as a young teen hiding under the counter at The Bowery Poetry Club in Manhattan’s East Village, she soon shook off fears to take the stage amidst poets at least a decade her senior and honed her poignant, funny and powerful style.

One reader will get their own hardcover edition of the book, "B"! If you don't win, you can always buy it on Amazon or Amazon Prime users can read it for free on their Kindle!
